Spirituality and ritual are of great importance in my life. I have studied the metaphysical uses of stones since I began work in the gem and jewelry industry while managing The Bead Box in Boone, NC in 2006. In 2010, on Isla Ometepe, a volcanic Island on Lake Nicaragua, I received my Reiki 1 certification. In 2013, I recieved a Reiki Master certificate after two courses, both 21 days long, and 5 months of clinical experience at the Healing House of Cusco in Peru. We held a free locals Reiki clinic and provided Reiki healing at a local women's shelter each week. Sharing Reiki healing with my family and community is one of the most gratifying things in my life.

Each piece of art I create gives me another window of light to share with those around me. I design every piece with stone combinations for maximum healing benefit. While fabricating the piece I infuse the metal and stones with Reiki and intentions to share healing with the wearer. I enjoy custom work where we set specific intentions for current "work" or goals specific to the wearer.

I currently helpmanage sales at a wholesale warehouse in Asheville, NC called Enter the Earth, one of the largest distributers of stones and fossils from Madagascar in the United States. I travel to trade shows including the Tucson Gem and Mineral show, to purchase and provide unique high quality specimens. In my spare time, I make one of a kind pieces of jewelry and sell stones at art shows, galleries, and stores.

I love experimenting in many types of metals including sterling silver, brass, and copper. My love, and some would say obsession, with stones is my inspiration for my work. I am so enthralled with stones I cannot pass them by without adding something new to my collection. Each stone is so individually unique that they each have a story to tell. Every stone deserves to be featured in a piece of artwork just as brilliant.

My designs aim to enhance the visual qualities of the stones by keeping the stone the primary focus. Each day in my studio I learn more and more, as most of my techniques are self taught. In 2009, I studied with Jim Rice in Boone NC at Appalachian State University for 6 weeks. And in 2013, I studied with metalsmith Walter David in Cusco Perú for 10 weeks. I have studied at William Holland Lapidary School with Jim Richardson and other experts for week long intensives in precious metal clay, fold forming, silver 1, and silver 2.
